I had no idea what
to expect when YogaHub asked me to speak at the first-ever virtual
yoga conference. I was delighted to be a presenter but also unsure
of how this new concept would They loved it. Four hundred people gathered virtually from all over the world to
attend this conference: from the US to the UK, from It's been absolutely wonderful and heart-warming for me to experience the wave of positive comments from all over the globe. Following are a few of my favorite responses to presentation: "Doing this breathing exercise makes connecting with myself easy and feels great and very worthwhile". "After listening to your talk, one of my key take-aways was that stress is the voice of IMBALANCE: not connected/not aware of all koshas; and to direct yourself to cultivate acceptance and balance or align the spiritual layers all the way to the physical layer". "So nice to "see" you
at the virtual conference. more importantly i am grateful to be
on your mailing list as this is how i heard about the conference
and was able to take advantage of the $100 off. : )) "...I'm blown away by this conference. It is so much more participatory than I ever imagined. It truly sounds like it's coming from right next door. I feel incredibly connected to a wonderful group of Yogis..." "...I loved the flexibility it offered, being able to take it piece by piece and session by session at my own time and convenience. I look forward to next year..." "...The thing that I love the most about this conference - the sum of the whole was greater than the parts. I had the feeling of being deeply watered and fed in a way that really awakened and enlivened things inside of me..." I am humbled and grateful for all the connections woven by the threads of the conference. One of my favorite speakers, Nischala Joy Devi, talked about the first yoga sutra (the defining text of classical yoga). Her translation included the word "humility". Listen to how she translates that often-overlooked sutra by describing the word "humility" so that you can actually experience and feel humility in your body (the audio clip is about half-way down the page. Listen to Nischala Joy Devi speak... YogaHub received so much positive feedback, in fact, they decided to create another first called "March Magic." For the month of March, you get:
For all the details click here! There are other audio clips from the conference that you may also enjoy, including one on Laughter Yoga (what a major hoot!) and one on chanting (also known as mantra meditation). Listen and enjoy... It's clear that virtual space is a new frontier in which to deepen our practice, connect with like-minded people and grow as a yoga community without walls. I hope you'll join me there.
